Zenergy's Experts to Present at TISQA 2018

TISQA Conference 2018Are you a tester or a GREAT TESTER? The roles of testing are always evolving, from Waterfall/agile and beyond… Get up to speed on the latest quality practices and industry trends you need to succeed in today’s testing world at TISQA 2018! Zenergy’s experts will be speaking on the following throughout the conference:

  • February 27 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm: Have you grasped the challenges of mobile testing and have a strategy in place to address them? Join David Dang’s full-day workshop, Mobile Testing: QA Strategy for Manual and Automated Testing, to find out what steps you should take next to implement your strategy for testing both automated and manual mobile testing. Attendees will learn the key considerations for successful mobile testing as well as the impacts you can expect to see when utilizing agile vs. Waterfall development methodologies in your mobile testing efforts.
  • February 27 from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm: Agile testing presents its own unique set of challenges. In this half-day workshop, Agile Testing – Techniques to Survive and Thrive, Bob Galen and Mary Thorn will discuss these challenges and examine various techniques, tools, and the mindset you need to conquer them. Attendees will also get a deeper dive into the aspects of agile testing, such as risk-based testing, iterative test planning, exploratory testing, and mind maps for test artifacts. If you’re looking to successfully integrate agile within your teams this is the workshop for you!
  • February 27 from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm: While many organizations assume there is little to no room for test management and leadership in self-directed agile team contexts, Bob Galen and Mary Thorn believe differently. This half-day workshop on Leading Agile Testers – Successfully Making the Leap will show you what exceptional test team leadership looks like in agile and give you a better idea as to when, as leaders, you should either provide your teams with space to handle efforts on their own or step-in to steer them in the right direction.
  • February 28 from 11:30 am – 11:15 am: Even leaders can face limitations in their abilities to create and encourage the type of communication needed in teams and organizations for durability and success. In Bob Galen's session, Crucial, Pivotal, and Radical Candor Conversations – Closing the Gap, you’ll explore various conversation tactics and specific models that will improve your communication efforts across all areas of your organization.
  • February 28 from 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm: Metrics are an essential aspect to understanding your software testing at hand. Although they help leaders make good business decisions, there are times they do not portray what is actually happening. Shaun Bradshaw’s session, I Hate Metrics, I Love Metrics, will explore several types of metrics in relation to product quality and testing and will allow you to walk away with a better sense of how to utilize them in ways that minimize potential dysfunctions.
  • February 28 from 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm: QA teams can gain testing efficiency by combining various technology stacks (website, mobile, and mobile app) into a single scenario. David Dang’s session, Combining UI and Services/APIs Automation for Comprehensive Testing, will demonstrate how this approach can be used to help identify defects and where your failures are originating.

This two-day conference will begin with a full-day of workshops on February 27th, followed by a full-day conference on the 28th, and will be held at the UNC Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC.
