Zenergy's Blog Returns (and where it went)

Red curtain being held open by a hand with a white glove on itZenergy hasn’t shown much love to its blog for a while, but with good reason: we’ve been busy growing! Since our last blog, Zenergy has:

  • Won over 30 new clients
  • Delivered a keynote presentation for StarWest
  • Presented more than 20 times at 15 different industry conferences
  • Added over 40 employees
  • Delivered solutions in Egypt, England, Germany, and China
  • Become a leading provider of advanced Selenium automation solutions
  • Been recognized as number 19 of the 50 fastest growing companies in our region

It has been a great ride but we’re not done yet.

As for Selenium, the trend is clear: the web is fueling major growth for many businesses and IT departments are turning to Selenium to help with the automated testing of their web initiatives. For those who may not know, Selenium is an open-source test automation tool that works for web only, but when implemented correctly, engineers and users can develop and execute a multitude of automated tests, both simple and complex, within many different browsers using a wide-variety of programming languages. Selenium plays a powerful role in Continuous Integration when combined with tools such as Jenkins and Cucumber, among others. Zenergy noticed the rising trend in Selenium early in 2010 and since our firm already provided advanced automation concepts that made existing automation tools such as QTP more effective, Selenium was a logical choice to add to Zenergy’s solution set.

Mobile automation is another area where Zenergy is expanding. Given our expertise in client/server and web automation, a large client asked Zenergy to perform a feasibility study on the current crop of mobile automation tools. While we found the mobile automation arena still in its early stages, there are promising tools on the market that are maturing quickly. Mobile will continue to increase in importance as the use of smart devices skyrocket. Look for more from Zenergy soon in the mobile space.

In other news, Zenergy has launch a new website, is working on dates for Test Methodology training and Selenium Basic and Advanced classes, and has plans to expand to new geographic markets. Now that we are blogging again, we will strive to post at least once a month on our blog so you can stay in the loop.
